World Aids Day 2012

International Transport Federation recognises RMT union as the only union in the uk to play a role in activities centered around world aids day in its HIV AIDS bulliten dec 2012.

Activists in the bakerloo branch received information, posters and stickers based on a campaign led by the ITF to get to zero in the month leading up to world aids day (1st dec 2012)

“World AIDS Day this year is about being a ‘change agent: Getting to Zero’ – that is
zero new HIV infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS related deaths.”

Northern Line Upgrade Training Information

Northern Line Training Latest from Trains Health And Safety Council

Local Reps met with Trains Health and Safety Council and Trains Functional Council representatives and RMT Head Office to formulate RMT concerns over training and delivery of any agreed training.

Training Course: That initial feedback be received in a positive manner to help improve and tailor the course to meet t/ops needs.

To help keep track of what minimum numbers for stations should be please see the attached figures.

RMT members on LU are currently in dispute about ICSA's being used as minimum numbers.

LUL Plans to Destaff Trains and Stations - This Affects Us All !!!

Service Control Dispute Offer To Be Discussed By RMT Representatives

The offer from LUL is attached below

London Underground and RMT met at the conciliation service Acas on 22 and 26 June to discuss the dispute surrounding Service Control staff covering the Piccadilly, Circle, District, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines.

There will be a meeting of Service Control reps on the 27th of June 2012 to discuss the proposals below.

The talks have led to a set of proposals on which RMT will be consulting with their members. At the moment, three days of strike action are due to take place commencing this Sunday.
