RMT Reveals London Underground Bosses' Plan For an Unstaffed Railway

We note the internal document that has come into our possession outlining plans by London Underground to introduce driverless operation. We reiterate our total opposition to the introduction of driverless train operation and other attacks on jobs, services and safety.

We instruct the General Secretary to

  • publish this leaked document on our website
  • send copies to our London Underground branches and representatives, encouraging them to discuss an effective strategy for fighting these attacks
  • ensure that similar documents obtained by the union are forwarded immediately to GGC members

We refer this issue to our Southern Sub-Committee for examination and report.

London Transport Regional Council and branches to be advised.
