Dear Colleague,
Circulars from RMT head office about issues in our region
Dear Colleague,
Dear Brother/Sister,
Dear colleague
IMPOSITION OF COVID-19 ROSTER – LONDON UNDERGROUND
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR TRAIN OPERATORS AND INSTRUCTOR OPERATORS
Your union notes with alarm London Underground’s intention to impose duty rosters at train operator depots that will provide for a significant ramping up of the current emergency level of service on the Tube.
Dear colleague
FURLOUGH ARRANGEMENTS – CORONAVIRUS – TRANSPORT FOR LONDON
Your union has been in discussions with Transport for London as the company plans to introduce Furlough Arrangements where certain members of staff in TfL/LUL will be put on to the government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.
The company has outlined that those currently being identified for the scheme would be staff whose work has ceased or reduced as a result of the current pandemic as well as those who are absent from work due to shielding or on long-term sickness absence.
Dear colleague
RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 – LONDON UNDERGROUND
You will know that your union had rejected two “full and final” offers on pay from London Underground, to cover the years commencing on 1st April on 2019-2022. These offers were rejected as your representatives expressed the anger and concern of you and your colleagues as the offers did nothing to address issues of fatigue and excessive working hours or the spiralling cost of living.
Dear colleagues,
The RMT continues to be committed to providing its full range of services and benefits to our members. In response to the global health crisis it has been necessary to make some difficult decisions regarding the delivery of the service in order to protect our members, lay officials, staff and officers.
Following the meeting of the National Executive Committee on 17th March 2020, the broad approach to the measures we will be implementing was outlined in Circular No. MF/27/20 distributed on 17th March 2020 and is available to members online.
17th March 2020
Dear Colleague,
Covid 19 - RMT Update
With reference to the above, a Special Meeting of the NEC was convened today and the following decisions have been made which I will ask that you read carefully. I can also advise that the attached list of key concerns have been relayed to the government following a telephone conference with government officials and I will also keep you advised of developments in this area.
