London Underground Pay dispute update

RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/0001)

Consultation with our representatives has taken place since London Underground tabled its “full and final offer”, which I advised you of in a previous circular (Ref: IR/465/19, 15th November 2019).

To remind you, the offer tabled at that time was as follows:

· Year 1 - 2.7% (RPI Feb 2019 +0.2%)

· Year 2 - 1.4% plus 30 minute reduction in working week (three banked rest days - target implementation date: mid 2020)

· Year 3 - RPI Feb 2021 +0.2%

RMT writes to LU to discuss concerns about CBTC system

I previously advised you that, with regard to a resolution submitted by our Neasden Branch which highlighted a number of areas of concern for members working in Trains, Stations and Service Control over the introduction of the new Communication Based Train Control (CBTC), I was instructed to inform London Underground that a failure to address these matters would result in a dispute situation existing (Ref: IR/515/19, 18th December 2019).

RMT has launched a campaign to achieve Justice for Station and Revenue Staff at London Underground as the company tries to bulldoze through plans to undermine revenue grades by introducing a new grade on inferior terms and conditions and over its continuous failure to take proper steps to address the issue of workplace violence faced by all LU station grade members.
