Further to my previous Circular (IR/441/20, 3rd November 2020), I advised Sodexo that a dispute situation existed over its restructuring plans including 30 job cuts across TfL sites. The Lead Officer then met with the Company and it has now been confirmed that Sodexo no longer intends to make any compulsory redundancies.

Thales redundancies update

REDUNDANCIES - THALES (LUL/16/3)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/339/20), Branches will recall that Thales had commenced with a redundancy process with a proposal to make 82 staff redundant from redundancy selection pools containing 137 staff.

Since Thales began implementing their proposals 20 staff have been redeployed with several more potentially being redeployed overseas. 5 staff working in Health and Safety have taken voluntary redundancy.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/339/20, 27th August 2020), this ballot has since concluded and our Service Control members at Osborne House have once again delivered a magnificent - and unanimous - vote to take strike action and action short of a strike. They have made their views crystal clear to management and for that they are to be congratulated on achieving another powerful vote in relation to their ongoing dispute.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/339/20, 27th August 2020) and despite our protests, Sodexo now intends to proceed with its reorganisation including 30 redundancies and has commenced consultation with those at risk. The Lead Officer will also be meeting with the Company to discuss this matter.
