Cost of Living Crisis: Join protests across Britain

Dear colleague,

Cost of Living Crisis: Join protests across Britain called by the People's Assembly, Saturday 12 February

Inflation is soaring, eating into the value of your wages. The energy companies are protecting their dividends by raising household bills by 50%. Our double-talking government says it wants to see wages go up while it slams a pay freeze on the railways and other public services and hamstrings unions from organising effectively. People are anxious and angry and this should be turned into action.

ISS KAD pay offer rejected "obviously falls far short of our members' aspirations"

11th of February 2022

RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2022 - ISS (KAD CONTRACT) (TFL/0001/ISS(DLR))

Following initial pay negotiations with the Company, the Union rejected a 0.9% increase as this obviously falls far short of our members' aspirations. There has not been any improved offer forthcoming and the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to raise the issue of rates of pay and conditions of service on the ISS (DLR) contract with UK management of ISS.

I will keep Branches advised of all further developments.

Yours sincerely,

RMT’s view is that compulsory wearing of face masks on public transport should continue

Dear Colleague,

JANUARY 2022 REMOVAL OF COVID-19 PROTECTIONS

I write in relation to the recent decision of UK Government to end “Plan B” restrictions in England, including the removal of the legal requirement for people to work from home and the requirement to wear face coverings in indoor spaces, with the only proviso in relation to face masks being that:
