DEFEND JOBS, PENSIONS AND AGREEMENTS - LONDON UNDERGROUND

CONGRATULATIONS ON ROCK SOLID ACTION

All RMT London Underground members are congratulated for the rock-solid strike action across the entire network this week. There has been a brilliant show of solidarity and support from you all and you are commended for your commitment to fight against vicious attacks on your jobs and pensions in order to pay for the TfL funding crisis.

The impact of the action by RMT members alone was massive and London Underground knows what will resolve this dispute. Management should now return to talks to provide us with the following assurances to protect you and your colleagues.

1. Pensions - there must be absolutely no changes whatsoever to the final salary pension scheme which is in effect deferred wages for you and your family in retirement.
2. Headcount - there must be no reduction in positions on LUL - jobs that you and new starters need to enable a decent standard of living and to enable the pension fund to remain healthy.
3. No changes to agreements - our agreements form part of your terms and conditions and have been built up over many years and we demanded that there are no changes which would be detrimental to members.
