Revenue control members across London underground are looking at what action to take in response to several issues now impacting the deparment. They include:

• Christmas Leave being cancelled, even though already agreed
• Duty mangers trying their hardest not to grant requests for odd days leave
• Flexible working and mutual swaps being ripped up
• Staff being coerced to break the framework to take part in special exercises
• Morale at an all-time low

The RMT will hope to join up with members in the sister union the TSSA to fight these draconian measures and are looking at Ballots for both industrial action and action short, complete work to rule, and an overtime boycott on New Year's eve.

An RMT RCI member who didn't want to be named for fear of reprisals said. “Revenue Control inspectors are fed up being flexible but receiving nothing in return. I have never seen the departments morale so low and its purely down to poor, draconian management. I have also never seen RCIs threatening industrial action – its unheard of from the most non militant grade on LUL.

The matter will be considered by the National Executive.
