BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, CENTRAL LINE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)
Further to my previous Circular (IR/506/18, 21st November 2018) a series of talks with the Company took place at ACAS before Christmas in an effort to seek a resolution to this dispute. There was some movement on the key issues and the National Executive Committee took the decision to suspend the strike action on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd December 2018.
During these discussions, LUL Director's present recognised our concerns in the dispute and it was felt by those present from RMT that management has demonstrated an actual desire to resolve the issues. Both sides have now returned to ACAS in an effort to see this dispute fully resolved and a meeting between all LUL Central Line Trains IR and H&S Reps, Trains Functional Council, Trains Safety Council, Lead Officer, Senior Assistant General Secretary and NEC will take place at RMT Head Office on Tuesday 15th January to discuss this dispute.
I will keep Branches advised of all further developments.
Yours sincerely,
Mick Cash
General Secretary
