London Underground strike action changed

26th October 2022

Dear Colleagues,

DEFEND JOBS, PENSIONS AND AGREEMENTS – LONDON UNDERGROUND

LONDON UNDERGROUND STRIKE ACTION CHANGED

Further to my letter dated 19th October, the National Executive Committee has noted that the Royal British Legion are due to hold their annual poppy day fundraiser in London on Thursday 3rd November and taken the decision to suspend the planned strike action for Thursday 3rd November.

Instead, ALL LUL MEMBERS ARE TO TAKE STRIKE ACTION by NOT BOOKING ON for any shifts that commence between:

00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Thursday 10th November 2022.

London Underground are continuing their sustained attacks on staff through a program of cuts that includes pension changes, job cuts, and the imposition of new working arrangements. I will also be commencing a re-ballot of all LUL members to make sure that we have a continuous mandate for action and will write again shortly with further details.

UNITY IS STRENGTH – SUPPORT THE ACTION

Yours sincerely

Michael Lynch

General Secretary
