Dear Colleagues,

EXTENDED TRAIN PREPARATION SCHEDULE – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/10)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/112/19, 20th March 2019), the ballot has concluded with members’ voting as follows:-

Are you prepared to take strike action?

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 80

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 1

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 1162

Number of votes cast in the ballot: 743

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 690

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 51

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned: 2

The National Executive Committee has congratulated the LU Fleet Branch, Reps, Activists and Members on delivering a solid ballot for industrial action in this dispute, demonstrating their resolve to halt the Company’s decimation of established safe inspection frequencies and the abject failure to abide by LU’s own safety validation processes and the LU Main Framework Agreement. The NEC has taken the decision to arrange a meeting of all Fleet IR and H&S Reps, Trains Functional and Trains Safety Council members with the Lead Officer, Senior Assistant General Secretary and NEC in attendance.

I am currently acting in accordance with the above decision and will keep Branches advised of all further developments.
