No member had received an inflationary based increase despite the fact that the company is in profit

Senior Assistant General Secretary, Mick Cash, and other representatives from this union met with Telent on 12th June 2012 to address your union’s ongoing concerns.

Railway Pension Scheme
Your union would like to reduce the amount that members must pay towards their pensions and have asked the company to assist in this endeavour by putting in a lump sum.

Olympics
Your union has concerns regarding the effects that the games will have on our Telent members. We have already made deals elsewhere with other companies and Telent have now indicated that they will be making payments to those adversely affected. The details of their proposal will follow.

For those of you on the LUL contract, there are concerns regarding the pay award and mistreatment of members. Further discussions will be held to address these concerns.

Pay
It was pointed out to the company that no member had received an inflationary based increase despite the fact that the company is in profit. The company have declared that they will be reviewing salaries in October with a view to an increase. We strongly objected to the lack of increases and the differing anniversary dates for our members within Telent and your union will maintain the pressure on the company regarding improved pay and conditions.
