Management Threats and Bullying

A message from Steve Hedley, RMT Regional Organiser

The RMT strike action and action short of a strike is taking place after a legally held ballot. You may have seen an employee relations bulletin suggesting that you can get into trouble for going on strike or refusing to abide by the 5 pounds minimum top up policy, this is nonsense.

The RMT will bring all our industrial and legal weight down on any manager who attempts to victimise any of our members. Instead of threatening loyal hardworking staff LUL senior managers would be better off taking up our offer of binding arbitration at ACAS (over the figure of 30 ticket sales an hour they claim are needed to keep a window open, that’s double the current 15 and 18 more than London travel watches 12 per hour recommendation).

They could even take up our offer of us suspending the strike if they suspend their job cuts programme in order to have a robust safety review. In the meantime let’s make this strike the strongest yet by building pickets for Sunday and Mondays action.
