DE-RECOGNITION OF REPS – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/20/6)
The following resolution was recently received from our Bakerloo Branch:-
“This Branch notes LU’s unilateral de-recognition of 15 of our elected stations reps, including one in our Branch.
This is a significant attack on our union’s democracy which disenfranchises our members and amounts to a form of union busting. It will have a particularly detrimental effect on Night Tube and part-time members.

POST-AGREEMENT JOINT INITIATIVES FOR TRAIN OPERATORS – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/0004)
Since the 2015 pay settlement, joint discussions regarding the post-agreement joint initiatives for Train Operators have been taking place. The Lead Officer has now reported concerns that despite these talks, aspects of the settlement remain unresolved, most notably a failure to adhere to commitments to better work life balance arrangements for LUL Trainstaff.
DISMISSAL, H. ABDO – CITY CRUISES (SH/4/1)
I have recently been made aware that RMT member Hairia Abdo has been dismissed from her employment at City Cruises. It is the view of our members that this decision is overly harsh and is an example of management applying the strongest possible sanction without proper consideration of all the circumstances.

The National Executive Committee has recently considered the case of Brother Danny Davis and taken the decision to conduct a ballot for strike action amongst all RMT Train Operators, Night Tube Train Operators and Instructor Operator members on the Central Line – Hainault, Leytonstone, Loughton, West Ruislip and White City Traincrew Depots.
