RMT to resist transfer of engineering workers from LUL to TfL

PROPOSED TRANSFER OF ENGINEERING, MAJOR PROJECTS, PMO AND CHANGE DELIVERY ACTIVITY FROM LONDON UNDERGROUND LIMITED (LUL) TO TRANSPORT FOR LONDON (TFL) (TFL/15/10)

The Company has recently advised of its proposal to transfer all engineering, major projects, change delivery and PMO activity from LUL to TfL. There are 1511 affected employees and the proposed transfer date is now 30th April 2017.

DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES, SPADS & BRAKE SWITCH FAILURES – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/4/4)

The following resolution was recently received from Piccadilly & District West Branch:-

“This Branch calls on the General Secretary to immediately instigate an investigation of all Train Operator SPAD’s (Signals Passed At Danger), overruns and all safety related items which may happen due to defective brakes.

DISCIPLINARY – L. CORNELL, S. SOUISSI & D. SHARP – LONDON BRIDGE – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/4/4)

Following a report recently received from the Lead Officer, along with correspondence from our Jubilee South Branch, the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to declare a dispute situation and ballot all RMT Station Grades members in the London Bridge Area for strike action and action short of a strike over the above.
