Thales pay update

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 - THALES GTS (LUL/0001/T(GTS))

Further to my previous Circular (IR/184/23, 15th June 2023), members rejected the Company's offers in a referendum. The National Executive Committee considered a further report from the Lead Officer and has now taken the decision to conduct separate ballots for signal grades and other grades for strike action and action short of a strike in the form of an overtime and rest day working ban.

DLR pay update

RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 - KEOLIS AMEY DOCKLANDS (DLR/0001/KAD)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/166/23, 5th June 2023), the referendum concluded with members voting to reject the offer. The Lead Officer and negotiating team met again with the Company but despite their best efforts, no improved offer was forthcoming.

This situation is clearly unacceptable and while we remain available for further talks, the current impasse is of considerable consternation to members as reflected in a resolution received from DLR Branch.

Tube pay offer 'nowhere near meeting the aspirations of our members'

Dear Colleagues,

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/0001)

Following a series of meetings between RMT and London Underground, management tabled the following offer in respect of your union's demands for an increase in pay and substantial improvements to members' terms and conditions:

Mind the Pay Gaps!

RMT submitted the following comments to TfL / London Underground's consultation on its pay gap reports and plans.

RMT comments on TfL pay gap action plan (and associated reports)

SUMMARY:

The pay gap reports show that the persistence (and in some aspects, worsening) of pay disadvantage experienced by women, black, ethnic minority and disabled workers arises from two main areas:

Britain Needs a Pay Rise

SUBJECT: Save the Date: TUC National Demo - 'Britain Needs a Pay Rise' - Saturday 18 June

Dear Colleagues

The TUC is organising a National Demo on Saturday 18th June in London starting at 12pm with the key message that 'Britain Needs a Pay Rise'. Transport workers are essential workers and as the cost-of-living soars our Union needs to send a clear message to the Government and bosses that our members deserve a decent pay rise.

ISS KAD pay offer rejected "obviously falls far short of our members' aspirations"

11th of February 2022

RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2022 - ISS (KAD CONTRACT) (TFL/0001/ISS(DLR))

Following initial pay negotiations with the Company, the Union rejected a 0.9% increase as this obviously falls far short of our members' aspirations. There has not been any improved offer forthcoming and the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to raise the issue of rates of pay and conditions of service on the ISS (DLR) contract with UK management of ISS.

I will keep Branches advised of all further developments.

Yours sincerely,
