RMT Demands Real Negotiations on FftF Issues

LU's new COO has issued a bulletin claiming a bizzare reluctance to talk on the part of the TU's.
Bizarrely, this claim is made by a COO who has yet to utter a word to any officer or rep from any of the TUs.

Following two meetings at ACAS on Pay & Night-tube the outging COO did no more than restate their opening at Company Council two months ago - LU wants a fair, affordable and sustainable pay settlement.
On the FftF issues we have been demanding a meeting with LU at Directors level. At present the Company Council Sub Group has no director at it and the management lead on FftF stations does not attend.

Your SFC reps and RO remain, as always, available for talks. These need to be with LU managers who are able to negotiate and have the authority to do so.

There are many issues that need to be discussed. Amongst the most pressing are:
1. Job Numbers - Many stations will be dangerously understaffed and there will be a massive increase in lone working under LU's curremt proposals.
2. Framework - We cannot accept LU's provocative draft framework. This document is not an opening for negotiations but is an unconditional surrender demand on our union. LU needs to withdraw this proposal and come back with something constructive. We will not accept a provision for line based working.
The proposal that members could be forced to work duties up to 45 minutes away from new home areas effectivelty wrecks the 30 minute displacement guarantee.
3. Transfer & Promotion - Like the framework, LU's proposed T&P document cannot be a genuine starting point for talks. We will not agree to unpaid higher grade working and we will not accept additional assesments for promotion when a member is licensed for a grade.
4. Part-Time members - Part-timers need additional protection from unreasonable displacement. Part-timer's hours must remain as now unless there is agreemnet to change.
There are many other issues I have not listed but we continue to raise with LU.
We have today repeated our call for plenary meeting of the Company Council Sub Group at which ALL the TUs wish to establish a productive way forward for negotiations.
