OLYMPIC RECOGNITION AND REWARD – TRANSPORT FOR LONDON (LONDON UNDERGROUND)

Further to your letter dated 30th May 2012, I have received reports from some Level 1 and Trains Functional Council Representatives that proper release is not being afforded to them in order to consult and agree rosters in relation to Olympic duties. As you aware it is the right of our representatives, as enshrined in our agreements, to be fully involved in any discussions affecting their members’ rosters. I must therefore urge you to ensure our reps are properly released and involved so that proper consultation to take place.

We are mindful that several issues that have arisen out of our recent agreement that need to be addressed as a matter of urgency. Consequently we believe talks should be reconvened at ACAS as soon as possible in order to resolve these matters. On this basis I have contacted John Woods at ACAS to request their immediate involvement in organising dates for these talks to take place. I trust you will agree to our request for further talks and would appreciate an urgent response.
