Osborne House Service Control strike dates announced

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, SERVICE CONTROL, OSBORNE HOUSE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/339/20, 27th August 2020), this ballot has since concluded and our Service Control members at Osborne House have once again delivered a magnificent - and unanimous - vote to take strike action and action short of a strike. They have made their views crystal clear to management and for that they are to be congratulated on achieving another powerful vote in relation to their ongoing dispute.

RMT has done everything possible to negotiate an acceptable way forward with the employer but London Underground has failed to address our members' concerns. It has been made clear to management that the dispute would not be resolved until industrial relations at Osborne House had improved sufficiently and members' concerns had been properly addressed.

The union's National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and believes that industrial action is necessary to force management to resolve these issues urgently. Our Service Controller members at Osborne House are therefore instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:

• 00.01 hours and 00.00 hours on Friday 2nd October 2020

Additionally, they are also instructed to take the following action short of a strike:

• From 00.01 hours on Saturday 3rd October 2020 not to work overtime or rest day working until further notice

Their vote shows that they are absolutely determined to seek justice in this dispute and I am sure this will be displayed by their full support for this industrial action. Please give your full solidarity and support to your Service Controller colleagues at Osborne House taking this action.

I will keep Branches advised of all further developments in this dispute.
