Olympic Talks Between RMT And London Underground Progress At ACAS

From RMT General Secretary Bob Crow

Your negotiating team met with LUL under the auspices of ACAS yesterday. The company has not changed its financial offer, and has proposed that in the event of duties remaining uncovered by volunteers at any location, the level 1 committee will meet to resolve it. There is no proposal to change Framework Agreements.

For APD (Fleet/Engineering), we have received confirmation that licences issued for Olympics working will be withdrawn after the Games, and that there is no plan to take away the right to be accompanied by a rep at a fact-finding interview.

Management has informed us that they will today answer our outstanding issues concerning financial reward for operational admin staff and the deployment of ICSAs on stations. Following this there will be an RMT reps meeting on Friday to discuss these proposals. I shall keep members informed of further developments.
