I write to advise members that following the last solid period of strike action your Executive Committee has met to discuss the current dispute. It has been decided to organise a temporary suspension of the overtime ban.

All members are advised that the overtime ban is suspended between the following times: -

• 00.01 hours Friday 31st December 2010 and 00.01 hours Sunday 2nd January 2011

RMT is in the process of consulting with representatives and members over the next course of action in this dispute. Support both from members and the public has been overwhelming and we must keep going in our efforts to stop these dangerous and unnecessary cuts from taking place.

Just to make things clear, the overtime ban will restart at 00.02 hours on Sunday 2nd January 2011 and will continue until further notice after that.
