Pay talks update

To all RMT members on LUL

Today myself and senior reps met LUL directors to continue our discussions on pay in LUL for 2015.

For 5 hours of talks we forcefully made the case for a decent pay offer and also a good night tube deal for ALL EFFECTED LUL EMPLOYEES.Despite this no new offer was made by the company . The talks have adjourned now and will reconvene next Monday 27th .

Also I have requested the release of all of our reps across LUL in all functions for a report back and discussion on Wednesday 6th May (this has not been agreed by mangment yet)

Interim Report from CCSG on Location & Review Process

Displacement Process and Review
We held further talks about the displacement process and proposed review at Company Council Sub-group today. Once again we were not satisfied with LU’s response to the issues we’ve raised and the company has agreed not to proceed with the review until they have considered their position further. They will respond on Tuesday afternoon, next week.
We will issue a Stations Functional Newsletter once the company’s position is clear. For the moment I can make a few points that I know members are asking about:

Reinstate Petrit Mihaj - demo 17/4/15 1130 Sodexo HQ

We are campaigning against victimisation, discrimination, union busting and dismissal of our colleague and union representative Petrit Mihaj.
It’s been over a year since our rep Petrit Mihaj was victimised for his Trade Union (TU) activities and unfairly dismissed as proven in court. (Ref: P Mihaj v Sodexo Ltd)
Our campaign continues into its second year. After many successful demonstrations in 2014 and 2015, The RMT is stepping up this campaign by asking MP’s and candidates in the General Election campaign to stop funding racist and union busting employers.

Demo against ticket office closures - day of action Friday 27th March

Tube Ticket Offices - TfL Closure Plan Protests

REMINDER Day of Action: Friday 27th March

Transport for London is pressing ahead with closing all London Underground ticket offices and is doing so without consulting passengers or adequately trialling the impact first. This is in order that closed ticket offices can be leased out to retail businesses, a short-sighted step that will exacerbate already dangerously high and rising peak passenger through-flow.

Thales RMT members at Waterloo&Palestra - Reasons to VOTE YES

Reasons to vote 'YES' in the forthcoming ballot:

NO COMPULSORY REDUNDANCIES: There are vacancies and positions available, so let's fill them with people that are at risk. We believe that there is no need for these people to be worried about losing their jobs and Thales should end their at risk status NOW.

If it can happen to them, it can happen to YOU.
