DEFEND JOBS, PENSIONS AND AGREEMENTS – LONDON UNDERGROUND

INDUSTRIAL ACTION CALLED

As you will be aware, your RMT Reps attended a meeting last week to discuss the solid mandate for action which you and your colleagues returned in the recent ballot. Following further discussions with level 2 reps in each function, the National Executive Committee has considered this matter and taken the decision to call industrial action as detailed below.

RMT National Executive Council member Jared Wood reminds members of the importance to return ballot papers in our dispute to defend jobs, pensions and working conditions.

Jared says "Get your ballot paper back. Once we've done that the boot will be on the other foot. We will have a strike mandate and then TfL, the mayor and our managers will have to listen to us"

Please display this poster in your London Underground / TfL workplace to encourage members to vote yes in our dispute to defend jobs, pensions & agreements.

Ballot papers went out from the Monday 13th of December. If you don't have yours by today (20th December) please request a new one either by emailing info@rmt.org.uk or speaking to your local rep.

You should now have received your ballot paper for industrial action. If you have not done so already, please make sure you return your paper, to reach the Scrutineer by the closing date of Monday 20th December 2021.

Strike action rock solid again as Night Tube staffing plans ripping up work life balance.

TUBE UNION RMT said that strike action in a fight to stop the ripping up of Night Tube agreements and working arrangements that would wreck the work life balance of drivers, is rock solid again tonight .

IMPOSITION OF NIGHT TUBE DUTIES, TRAIN OPERATORS - LONDON UNDERGROUND

On Tuesday at ACAS your union offered to suspend the industrial action on the Central and Victoria lines, if LUL laid out a clear road map to move back to the pre-pandemic night tube arrangements. This proposal was rejected by management in talks.

ABOLITION OF NIGHT TUBE TRAIN OPERATOR GRADE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

I am writing further to my letter of 20th August where I notified members that the industrial action that had been planned this week has been suspended. The union’s decision was made possible by progress that had been made between your negotiating team and the company during the talks held at ACAS.
