At a possible cost of near £10 million, will it provide the solution we demand? Read the newsletter to find out.
Subject: DISMISSAL, P. BAILEY – LONDON UNDERGROUND That we note the resolution from our Central Line East Branch; and applaud their resolve to continue fighting the scandalous sacking of Bro Bailey for NOT failing a drugs & alcohol test; which even the company now have reluctantly admitted is concerning so much so that they are to be undertaking a review of their whole D&A procedure.

That we note the resolution from our from Central Line East Branch that to bring the company back into normal industrial relations they are resolved to continue to take strike action.

RMT members rock solid in strike action on Central Line over breakdown in industrial relations and abuse of procedures.
Tube union RMT confirmed that members are standing rock solid this morning at the start of 24 hours of strike action on London Underground’s Central Line over a comprehensive breakdown in industrial relations, a failure to employ enough drivers, a wholesale abuse of agreed procedures and the victimisation of a trade union member.
Subject: BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, PICCADILLY LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND
That we note the report from the Lead Officer regarding last Friday’s members and reps meeting; where the view was that we should suspend the strike action for tomorrow due to progress made at ACAS, with the company now seemingly abiding by agreements and implementing them.
Subject: MORDEN DEPOT – GARTH HOUSE
That we note the resolution from our London Transport Regional Council regarding the degraded, sub-standard work conditions and welfare facilities at Morden Depot and the company’s unwillingness to address these most basic and necessary provisions.
We also note the matter is to be raised at a coming Trains Safety Council meeting, and instruct the General Secretary to place an updated report in front of this NEC following this meeting.
That we note following consulting our members in both Central Line East & West Branches our members wish to undertake strike action in defence of their victimised brother Paul Bailey. We therefore instruct all Train Operators and Operator Instructors not to book on for shifts from 00:01hrs to 23:59hrs on Wednesday 7th November 2018. Members to be advised by email and text.
