Conference: LGBTQ progressive politics: shaping the future

The Conference - sponsored by CWU and FBU unions - is to re-start a political discussion in the LGBT communities with a view to setting an agenda for the future.

Speakers include: Angela Eagle MP, Maria Exall (LRC vice chair), Cllr Katie Hanson, Gavin Hayes, Anton Johnson, Tamsin Piper, and Dr Peter Purton.

FREE night out at the cinema to watch MILK - Evening of Thursday 29th January

It’s the story of Harvey Milk, a middle-aged New Yorker who after moving to San Francisco became a Gay Rights activist and city politician. On his third attempt he was elected to San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors in 1977, making him the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in the USA. A year later he was shot dead.

Happy London and Brighton Pride!

July saw two of the biggest and best Pride events to date.. London Pride and Brighton Pride.. the RMT were present at both, flying the flag proving that we are as diverse as every other company or employer....
