Piccadilly Line drivers to be balloted for strike action

SUBJECT: BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, PICCADILLY LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

We note the report from our Lead Officer that the company have failed to address our concerns around chronic understaffing, lack of resources, draconian use of the attendance procedures, obstruction of our representative trades union duties, undue pressure upon our Drivers from Service Control managers and managements failure to honour a number of commitments given during previous disputes; especially relating to stock, training and SPAD management.

We instruct the General Secretary to advise the company we are now in dispute and immediately ballot all Train Operators and Operator Instructors on the Piccadilly Line for both strike action and action short of a strike.

Members to be advised by email and text.

Piccadilly & District West and Finsbury Park Branches and the London Transport, Regional Council to be advised.
