CONFERENCE ON “INJUSTICE” - 5th AUGUST 2021, 6PM

Following a resolution from the Black and Ethnic Minority Members' Conference, the union has organised an on-line conference on the theme of “Injustice” pulling together a number of black activist groups who tackle elements of racial injustice happening across society. Engie - implementation of new contracts

SUBCONTRACTORS - ENGIE (LUL CONTRACT) (LUL/13/3)

I write to update members on the developments relating to the proposed implementation of new contracts of employment for members who had previously been self-employed and working for Engie.

With the introduction of the different parts of the IR35 legislation the vast majority of those who had been self-employed have been taken onto Engie's payroll.

RMT launches campaign to defend our pensions

RMT launches campaign to defend TfL pension scheme and declares no confidence in review process. Transport for London union RMT announced today that it is launching a campaign to defend the TfL pension scheme in the wake of revelations of how the company intend to process and conduct their pension fund review. Instead of a pension review, RMT is calling for an investigation, with the full involvement of all recognised trade unions, into the systemic transfer of TfL funds to the private sector.

Abolition of Night Tube grade dispute upcoming action suspended

ABOLITION OF NIGHT TUBE TRAIN OPERATOR GRADE - LONDON UNDERGROUND

I write to advise you that your NEC has decided to suspend the industrial action in this dispute planned to take place from 12:00 on Tuesday 3rd August 2021 and members are instructed to work normally on the following days:

• 12:00 hours on Tuesday 3rd August 2021 to 11.59 hours on Wednesday 4th August 2021

• 12:00 hours on Thursday 5th August 2021 to 11.59 hours on Friday 6th August 2021

RMT suspends Tube strike

RMT suspends Tube strike action this week to allow for further talks.

RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch said:

"Following extensive and wide ranging discussions through the ACAS machinery we have hammered out enough ground to allow those talks to continue. As a result this week's strike action is suspended although the rest of the planned action rema‎ins on.
