Dear Comrades,
This is my first project as your newly elected Women's officer for the London Transport Region. We would like as many women members as possible to complete the following survey so that we can support more RMT women workers to take ownership and control of their union. With this in mind, please do all you can to share the link amongst your colleagues from all grades, full time, part time, zero hours, everybody!
Thanks very much for your help.
Marie Harrington
As you all maybe aware we are now in the process of working together with LUL to sort out the detail regarding the staffing of Night Tube, such as their contracts and rosters. This includes how they will be managed on Nights, transfers and moves and ways for them to progress from part time drivers to full time and their future development. We are also going to have to work out what will happen to depots with existing Nights as well as Night Tube duties, because depots with existing night duties will now NOT be working on Friday and Saturday night as these will be Night Tube duties only.
Updates on ongoing work
A good news story to get out there! Please download and distriburte the SFC News.

PRIORITY CAMPAIGN 1 – VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN TRANSPORT WORKERS
Despite having no funding for this campaign, we have been able to take a couple of useful initiatives:
RMT has condemned the decision by Transport for London to hand the busy London Overground service over to failing rail privateer Arriva, a subsidiary of the German state railway Deutsche Bahn.
RMT general secretary Mick Cash said that it was ludicrous to hand LOROL services over to the German state as Arriva have just had their contract for the Tyne and Wear Metro ripped up with that service being taken into direct public control from April next year.
