Elizabeth Line station meeting called to discuss serious concerns

STAFFING LEVELS AND WORKING PROCEDURES - ELIZABETH LINE / LUL (LUL/14/5)

The following resolution has been received from our East Ham Branch:-

“This branch notes the flagrant ignorance of safety issues at Elizabeth Line stations that interact with LUL. These being Whitechapel, Tottenham Court Rd, Bond Street, Moorgate, Paddington and Farringdon.

Hammersmith Control Centre pay & conditions offer accepted

PAY & CONDITIONS, SCL1, SCL2 & SM GRADES, HAMMERSMITH CONTROL CENTRE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/3)

Following extensive negotiations with the Company regarding the new Hammersmith Control Room, a final position has been received from LUL. The Lead Officer has consulted our Service Control Functional Council Representatives and affected members and the National Executive Committee has noted the recommendation on file and taken the decision to inform London Underground of our acceptance of the offer.

INTRODUCTION OF WTT15 - TRAIN OPERATORS - JUBILEE LINE, LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/217/18, 30th April 2018), all Jubilee Line Train Operator and Instructor Operator members should now have received their ballot paper for the above ballot and I urge all members to make sure they return it, to reach the Scrutineer by the closing date of Thursday 17th May 2018.

RMT calls for maximum support for TUC anti cuts demonstration tomorrow

RMT members will be turning out in force tomorrow, Saturday 12 May, for the TUC national demonstration calling for an end to cuts and a new deal for working people.

The march assembles at 11am at Victoria Embankment and will arrive in Hyde Park from 1.00pm for a rally which will be addressed by Jeremy Corbyn.

The union’s members will be marching against austerity, cuts, privatisation and the race to the bottom which in the rail, maritime, offshore and bus sectors have wreaked havoc and undermined safety across these industries.

RMT calls for massive presence at TUC march and rally

The RMT National Executive is calling for a massive RMT presence on the 12th May in London demanding a new deal for all workers. Alongside all other unions in the TUC, RMT members will be demonstrating our opposition to the politics of austerity, demanding an end to low pay, cuts in jobs, public services and privatisation.

On 12 May 2018, thousands of people will march through London to demand a new deal for working people. Come and join us.

RMT accept offer following 'S04 grade, Earls Court Signallers' negotiations

Subject: PAY & CONDITIONS SO4 GRADE SIGNALLERS EARLS COURT LONDON UNDERGROUND

We note and adopt the report from our Southern Sub-Committee: “We note the final position & offer from the company and the recommendation advice from the Lead Officer and our Service Control Functional Council Representatives on the company’s offer following a consultation meeting with members.

Accordingly, we congratulate our negotiations team and instruct the General Secretary to write to London Underground informing the company of our acceptance of the offer”.

Referendum of DLR members to be held

We note the offer from the company and congratulate our Docklands Light Railway Branch on achieving it through negotiations.

We instruct the General Secretary to hold a referendum of all Members with a recommendation to accept the offer.
