Autism In The Workplace Stage 1 Course - 25 March 2015

Autism in the Workplace is a really exciting event being run at the Workers’ Educational Association - WEA - on 25 March 2015, 9.30am–4.30pm. It is sponsored by the Communication Workers' Union (CWU) and includes participation from Simpson Millar solicitors. It is open to members of all trade unions.

The course is for union reps, officers and members of all unions on Autism in the Workplace. The course has been very popular previously so please get applications in as soon as possible using the form below.

The day will cover;

  • What is autism? Realities and myths
  • Autism issues at work
  • Making the workplace more autism – friendly
  • Autistic workers, carers and the law

The day will consist of a mixture of presentations and activities, and will include John McDonnell MP speaking on autism, politics and the labour movement.

Please note the briefing is free and is open to reps, members, officers of ALL unions.
Please also note that this briefing is not aimed at people whose work is with autistic clients, but for trade unionists who are organising and representing members in the workplace.

It is envisaged that this event will be very popular – places are limited to 18 – so book now! Free sandwich lunch included!
