Young Members Conference 2012
The young members' conference takes place in London from Thursday 23rd - Saturday 25th February. Branches are entitled to send four delegates per branch to this conference.
If there are motions you would like to have debated at conference please put them forward to your branch as soon as possible to have them included in the agenda.
RMT Disabled Members' Meeting

That we note the meeting took place and realise that we need to build interest to ensure more delegates. We instruct the General Secretary to organise a further meeting in May 2012 following an article in RMT News advertising the event.

Special Meeting 6th December,1700-Christopher Alder Campaign
Important Meeting-Christopher Alder Campaign.
Christopher Alder, a former paratrooper, died in police custody in 1998.
Now, eleven years after his death, it has come to light that it was not Christopher Alder at all who was buried in the family grave but the body of an elderly woman named Grace Kamara who died of natural causes in 1999.
The mix up was only discovered when members of Grace’s family asked to see the body before it was buried.

RMT Disabled Members' Conference
Submitted by Janine on 11 November, 2011 - 17:00Report to RMT's Council of Executives of RMT's initial Disabled Members' Conference: A Conference took place on 8th November in accordance with your instruction. Whilst the number of delegates attending was far from high, a very positive discussion on the way forward took place. There was agreement that disabled members needed a voice in the Union and that a Rule change should be brought forward.
