every job matters walkabout

Functional reps from both RMT & TSSA will be on a walkabout across the whole combine next Thursday and Friday, Aug 7 & 8th.

I am asking all local reps/activists to try and come along in their area to assist in us talking to as many people as possible.

We need to bolster support, build confidence and understand the strength of feeling on the ground for any future possible industrial action.

I appreciate it is short notice but if you are able to help out please let me know.

LUL RENEGE ON THEIR COMMITMENTS ON EJM

NO SALARY GUARANTEE:
LUL withdraw their commitment to ensure no staff will be moved to a lower paid grade.
Despite Phil Hufton, COO, stating at ACAS in May 2014 “it would be morally wrong to take money off my staff”

3000 FORCED DISPLACEMENTS:

Report of Bank group Level 1 meeting, Thursday 26 June

MORE STAFF FOR BANK GROUP? YOUR HELP REQUIRED!

RMT put the case for more staff on the group, in particular:

  • more weekend staff at Bank
  • an additional weekday middle-turn CSA at St. Paul’s
  • adjusting staffing at Chancery Lane during the evening peak

If there are other specific times and locations which you would like to be considered, please let me know.

Management agreed to put together a ‘business case’ for these. But we need evidence!

Brian Munro - RIP

Dear colleagues

It is with deep regret that I advise of the passing of Brother Brian Munro this morning, following a long battle with illness.

As a deeply committed member of the Union with over 20 years service, his loss will be felt by all. A former Secretary of the London Transport Regional Council and the current Secretary of the Bakerloo Line Branch, Brian worked tirelessly to negotiate, campaign and organise on behalf of his members.

Latest edition of londoncalling - LUL renege on their commitment for salary guarantee

LU’s plans to trigger mass displacement of CSAs, SAMFs, SCRAs and Supervisors have been confirmed in talks about Fit for the Future..
We have been pushing the company to explain how widespread displacements will be avoided and to explain how the guarantee of being offered a role with no loss of pay can work with the new staffing model that LU is proposing.
Now we have an answer. In order for SSMFs, SAMFs and SCRAs to keep their substantive salary they will have to pass an assessment to prove they are competent for the new grade (CSS2 or CSS1).

RMT cleaners say no to fingerprinting !

RMT cleaners on ISS refuse to book on using biometric machines.
Please download and print the attached newsletter and proforma to support our cleaners
Station staff: support the cleaners’ action!
RMT has been involved in a long-running dispute over the use of fingerprinting for booking on which the union believes is a fundamental attack on civil liberties and designed to completely dehumanise the
workplace while threatening jobs through automation in the drive for increased profits.
