Station job cuts update

DEFENDING JOBS, PENSIONS & AGREEMENTS - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/208/23, 7th July 2023), further progress has been made following talks with LUL yesterday over the station staffing review. The Lead Officer has reported that 27 positions will be restored, 27 CSA2 positions will be updated to CSA1 and 10 part time station roles will be made full time. This will have the effect of restoring the proportion of weekend rest days to the level before the 600 job cuts process was imposed.

The review of station rosters and staffing levels will continue to ensure resilience of the staffing model in light of a sharp increase in station closures.

The National Executive Committee has considered this matter and taken the decision to SUSPEND THE OVERTIME AND REST DAY WORKING BAN which was due to commence tomorrow, Saturday 15th July. All Stations & Revenue members are therefore instructed to work as normal next week.

The strike action dates on Wednesday 26th July and Friday 28th July remain on as part of the wider dispute to Defend Jobs, Pensions & Agreements.

I will keep Branches advised of all further developments.
