Justice for the 33- Coming to a branch near you
Submitted by admin10 on 2 April, 2013 - 10:29Come to your branch and help with the decision to ballot all LUL members to get all ofthe 33 back to work.
Just before Christmas 2012, 33 RMT members on the north end of the Bakerloo Line were sacked by LUL. Many of them worked for LUL for over 5 years, only to be told they had failed the entrance tests for full time work.
This broke an agreement with the RMT.
The 33 were sacked due to LUL ending theircontract a year early.
It was agreed that the 33 would be migrated into LUL.
It is also clear LUL have colluded with the agencies to rob staff of over £1500.00 each in back pay.
Cross Line Working Sugestion Rejected
Submitted by admin on 19 December, 2012 - 16:40We note the correspondence from London Underground regarding its intention to deploy Circle and Hammersmith drivers to work on Metropolitan line track at Wembley Park sidings. The union totally rejects this, and will not accept any form of cross-line working.
Further, this adds to the evidence that LUL intends to use the introduction of the new ‘S’ stock to reduce maintenance frequencies and to deploy drivers, service control staff and others across more than one line. This threatens jobs, safety and service standards. We instruct the General Secretary to:
Regional Council Resolutions - August 2012
Submitted by Peter2 on 29 August, 2012 - 01:49The following resolutions were passed at this month's regional council meeting.
London Underground Train Operations Support Managers chairing case conferences - Hammersmith & City branch
This regional council believes the new policy of allowing TOSM’s to chair case conferences is outside the current attendance procedure and we believe this to be the thin edge of the wedge.
It is not acceptable for LUL just to change a policy or procedure by sending a letter to head office and stating it has been agreed.
