I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows:-

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 85

Number of votes cast in the ballot: 52     

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 42

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 10

Conference acknowledges the principles of the UK Government’s Disability Confident Employer Scheme, to support and recognise businesses that are actively inclusive in their recruitment and retention practices. The scheme encourages employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.

Britain Needs a Pay Rise

SUBJECT: Save the Date: TUC National Demo - 'Britain Needs a Pay Rise' - Saturday 18 June

Dear Colleagues

The TUC is organising a National Demo on Saturday 18th June in London starting at 12pm with the key message that 'Britain Needs a Pay Rise'. Transport workers are essential workers and as the cost-of-living soars our Union needs to send a clear message to the Government and bosses that our members deserve a decent pay rise.

Instead of a recommended approach and implementation plan, pension report is an assortment of attacks

TFL PENSION FUND - INDEPENDENT REVIEW

I refer to my previous correspondence, 2Oth December 2021, you will be aware that Sir Brendan Barber the head of the Review Commission looking into the TfL Pension Fund submitted the final report on 28th March 2022.

H&C Branch Meeting and Kings X I/R Rep Election

This is just a reminder that the Hammersmith & City Branch Meeting meets tomorrow (6th April 2022). This is at the Dolphin Public House, Kings Cross, from 3pm- all Branch Members are welcome!

You are reminded that there is an election taking place for the position of Industrial Relations Rep, at Kings Cross (LUL) Station. The two candidates are:

-Chris Mortimer

Both candidates will be given the opportunity to make a short address and a Q&A will then follow. This will be followed by the vote which will be in person only at the meeting.
