This workshop is a must for all workplace RMT representatives, and for branch officers. We are more effective at everything we do if we sign up as many members as possible and keep our membership information up-to-date. this is especially true since recent legal rulings have placed even greater demands on unions when it comes to information.

This training workshop will look at:

  • identifying who is and is not a member in your workplace
  • persuading non-members to join
  • keeping membership details up-to-date

RMT's London Transport Membership Keeps Growing

The latest membership figures for RMT in the London Transport region show that workers are joining the union at the rate of over 60 per week.

East Ham branch recruitment & retention day

East Ham branch is holding a recruitment and retention day, where it is hoped enough people turn up to cover all stations, depots and signal boxes in the branch's area.

We are meeting at the Barking Dog PH (outside Barking Station, turn left) for coffee at 10am, to group and then set off in pairs! to visit areas to talk to staff out and about.

Branch Membership Lists

The Regional Council Executive submitted the following resolution to the April meeting of the Regional Council, where it was passed with one abstention.

This Regional Council expects Branch Secretaries to attend head office at least bi-monthly with an up-to-date membership list for their branch.

RMT Recruitment and Retention Day

This month's regional recruitment and retention day will take place on the south end of the Northern Line - Morden and Oval branch's patch.

We will be meeting at Oval station at 10.30am. We urgently require volunteers from the region to help out.

Central Line West Branch Details

Branch meetings happen at The Redan Pub, Queensway, W2 on the first Thursday of the month at 1600 hrs.
