RMT workplace representatives will be discussing this at a meeting on Tuesday 4 October.You work hard, your employer makes money from your efforts, and you have bills to pay. So your union organises members to win better pay and working conditions. RMT aims to achieve:
- above-inflation pay rises - anything else is a pay cut in real terms, as your outgoings increase faster than your income;
RMT Reluctantly Accepts CBS Outdoor Pay Offer
Submitted by Janine on Wed, 15/06/2011 - 15:00That we note the pay offer from CBS Outdoor and the report from our Regional Organiser.
We accept the Regional Organiser’s view that the pay offer (1.3% backdated to April) is poor, but that we should reluctantly accept it. We note that there has also been some progress on working conditions: negotiations on a new roster pattern, new vans, and better training; and on the MMTA grade which management have now agreed to backdate for all staff qualified or unqualified (through lack of training) for six months.
CBS Outdoor: hours cut without loss of pay
Submitted by admin on Thu, 03/09/2009 - 13:38Circular No. IR/253/09: RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2009 – CBS OUTDOOR
On the recommendation of our negotiating team, the General Grades Committee has accepted a reduction in the working week of one hour in return for a freeze on all current pay rates.
Whilst far from perfect, negotiators took the view that this was the best position possible given the general malaise in the advertising industry. Indeed the company, which is having to be bankrolled by its parent company in the USA, were originally demanding a pay freeze with no cut in hours.

Around thirty RMT activists turned out to demand that those responsible for running up the massive TfL/LU defecit of over £2.5 billion be sacked and not the workers who are being sacked because of senior management incompetence.
