London Overground Security Staff Take Industrial Action Over Bullying
Submitted by Peter2 on 13 May, 2013 - 14:23TRANSPORT UNION RMT confirmed today that security and safety staff employed by STM Security Group on the London Overground contract will be taking industrial action this week in a dispute over bullying and harassment and an attempt to impose workplace changes without agreement.
RMT To Pursue Call For Representation For Victims Of Bullying
Submitted by admin on 19 April, 2013 - 03:41We note the correspondence from London Underground Ltd, and regret the employer’s refusal to accept the reasonable demand of all trade unions that those accused of harassment and/or bullying should have the right to be represented from the beginning of the process.
We instruct the General Secretary to obtain and place in front of us a report on our options for pursuing this matter.

Drop in session to discuss Workplace Harassment and Bullying
LU Engineering branch have organised a drop in session to discuss workplace harassment and bullying.
All RMT members are welcome, please circulate flyer to friends you feel would benefit from the session, but do not display on workplace noticeboards, for fear of management repercussions.
The event will be held upstairs at the Exmouth Arms, Starcross Street, London NW1 (near Euston station)
The event will run on Wednesday April 17th, from 12pm til 6pm, please drop in any time you can.

Jubilee Line Tube Drivers In Strike Vote Over Bullying And Working Conditions
Submitted by admin on 1 March, 2013 - 19:13TUBE UNION RMT confirmed today that tube drivers on the Jubilee Line, working out of the Stratford and Greenwich depots, are to be balloted for industrial action in a dispute over bullying of staff through the misuse of procedures and an appalling decline in the standard of working conditions.
In a letter to London Underground setting out the reasons for the dispute, RMT has highlighted:
- The unfair and disproportionate treatment of Drivers in disciplinaries
- Many facilities on the Jubilee line being in a very poor and in some cases a “disgusting” state

RMT Concerned With Treatment of Occupational Health Workers

We instruct the General Secretary to ensure that this issue is taken up with Transport for London in line with the resolution, and ask the Regional Council to report to us on its progress with pursuing this issue.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: ALL INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS SUSPENDED
Further to my letter dated 29th November 2012 in relation to the above matter, I can confirm that your union has entered into talks with London Overground in relation to the role and responsibility of the Travel Safe Officer. London Overground has agreed that the TSOs would be better off working directly for LOROL rather than for STM and talks will begin in January to discuss the logistics of bringing your work back in-house.
London Overground Safety Security Staff On Strike Today
Submitted by Peter2 on 3 November, 2012 - 15:50TRANSPORT UNION RMT confirmed today that security and safety staff employed by STM Security Group on London Overground services will be taking both strike action and action short of a strike this Saturday in a dispute over bullying and an attempt to impose new terms and conditions. Spurs, Crystal Palace and West Ham all have home games on that day.
Following a unanimous vote for action in a ballot this month, management have been informed that RMT members will be ;
STM Security Group Travel Safe Officers Working On London Overground To Strike Over Bullying And Intimidation
Submitted by Peter2 on 30 October, 2012 - 17:39Our Travel Safe Officer members and union representatives are being subjected to bullying and intimidation by STM Security Group (UK) Ltd. Despite several warnings from the union, management continue to subject our members to this appalling treatment.
The General Grades Committee has considered this matter and has taken the following decision:
- taking strike action and not signing on for any shifts between 00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Saturday 03rd November 2012.
- and by way of action short of strike action to not do any overtime or shift changes for any shifts between 00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Saturday 03rd November 2012.
RMT To Provide Support To Taxi Members Harassed Over Display Of 'Identifier Tags' And To Assist London Taxi Driver Branch In Recruitment Plan
Submitted by admin on 11 October, 2012 - 22:19We note the meeting concerning this issue held on 20 September, and instruct the General Secretary to provide legal support to those taxi driver members who experience harassment arising from the display of identifier tags.
We further instruct the General Secretary to ensure that our London Taxi Drivers’ branch is provided with support and resources for its forthcoming recruitment campaign, which will include coverage of RMT’s campaigning work and support for suburban (‘yellow badge’) taxi drivers and well as green badge drivers.
