RMT Night Tube drivers' strike dates

FULL-TIME TRAIN OPERATOR POSITIONS, CONTRACTED HOURS AND OVERTIME RATE – NIGHT TUBE DRIVERS – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/88/17, 24th February 2017), the ballot concluded with members voting as follows:-

96% yes vote for RMT Night tube drivers' industrial action

TUBE UNION RMT confirmed today that Night Tube drivers have voted overwhelmingly for both strike action and action short of a strike over a block on career progression which has been imposed by London Underground.

Members voted by over 96% for strike action and by over 98% for action short of a strike.

The results of the ballot will now be considered by RMT’s executive committee who will decide the next course of action.

Update on today's Night Tube dispute meeting

Constructive and good natured talks took place this morning at Baker Street between LUL and the Movement's committee over Night Tube Driver's going Full Time.

We provided a number of constructive suggestions to the Director and his colleagues to slove the dispute including nominations being called by date of nomination order and additionally we looked at ways Night Tube Driver's could be called before 18 month's.

Fleet industrial action begins

Tube fleet maintenance action begins today in dispute over wholesale breakdown in industrial relations

RMT London Underground Fleet members will begin a campaign of  industrial action from today following numerous unresolved breaches of agreed machineries and agreements by LU management.
 
RMT’s executive has instructed all Fleet Grades members to undertake the following industrial action from today, Tuesday 7th March 2017, until further notice:-

Tube fleet maintenance to take action in dispute over wholesale breakdown in industrial relations
TUBE UNION RMT confirmed today that London Underground Fleet members will be taking industrial action from next Tuesday following numerous unresolved breaches of agreed machineries and agreements by LU management. In a recent ballot 67% of members voted for strike action with 88% voting to endorse action short of a strike.
 

Night Tube drivers - check your depot nominations

At the last Movements Committee meeting on Thursday 2nd March, Operations Resourcing said that they believed around 175 of the 206 Night Tube Drivers had now nominated Full-Time Depot positions. 

It's important that every Night Tube Train Operator checks with their AG1 or Local Management team to ensure that if they have nominated a Depot their name is on the correct waiting list.

3 CSAs at London Bridge have been sent to CDI following an incident with a fare evader in November 2016

The fare evader assaulted 3 members of staff, one was pregnant. 
She was pushed in her stomach.
Those who assisted were sent to disciplinary hearings.

Following a report recently received from the Lead Officer, along with correspondence from our Jubilee South Branch, the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to declare a dispute situation and ballot all RMT Station Grades members in the London Bridge Area for strike action and action short of a strike over the above.
