The following resolution submitted by Finsbury Park Branch was carried unanimously at the October 27th Regional Council meeting.
This region notes that discussions are ongoing for many grades regarding specific rewards for working during the 2012 Olympic Games. However cleaner Grades do not seem to be part of these discussions and this is unacceptable. We call on the General Secretary to coordinate talks with the different cleaner companies on LUL with a view to negotiating a reasonable reward for the grade that will be dealing with the litter and other issues arising from carrying excess passengers during the games with the traffic hours likely to be extended."
