Tramlink Maintenance Transfer from Carillion to TfL

General Grades Committee decision:

That we welcome the decision of TfL last year to bring the London Tramlink Infrastructure Maintenance Services back inhouse, and thus back into the public sector.

However, we are disappointed at the long delay in obtaining details of this, caused by the lack of
co-operation from TfL in providing this union with information. We are legally entitled to information regarding the transfer under the TUPE regulations and TULCRA legislation for the purposes of collective bargaining, in order to effectively represent our transferred members and protect their interests.

As suggested by our Regional Organiser, we instruct the General Secretary to obtain advice as to legal channels we can pursue in order to obtain this information. This matter to be placed back in front of us when this advice is received.

London Transport Regional Council and relevant branches to be advised.
