26th March Demonstration - Stop The Cuts Demo

This Saturday promises to be the biggest trade union march in a decade. The National TUC Demo, Saturday 26th March in London: make sure you’re there and be a part of the biggest trade union demonstration in years, when the TUC marches against the Government’s savage austerity cuts.

RMT has last week been allocated a position in the line-up for the Demonstration on Saturday 26th March. Members should head to Victoria Embankment for 11am and look out for your RMT stewards near Temple Tube Station.

If concerns about overcrowding force the closure of any tube station, instructions to get to the Victoria Embankment will be given over Underground P.A. systems.

On your arrival
RMT stewards will be on hand from 07.30, so if you are in London early, you will be very welcome to come down to the assembly point. RMT stewards will be prominent and you will be provided with additional RMT regalia as necessary, and food and water.

Route of the march

The march will head to Parliament Square; up Whitehall to Trafalgar Sq, over to Regent St; down Piccadilly and enter Hyde Park. Nearest toilets: Embankment Station and Trafalgar Sq (more toilets in Hyde Park).

Rally
There will be a rally in Hyde Park from 13.30 to around 16.00. The Woodcraft Folk will have a children’s marquee. Refreshments in the Park will be provided by the Park Authorities.
