Train Operators - How Have Station Staff Assisted You?

We are collecting accounts of how station staff assist train operators. This information will help the RMT's case against cuts in the number of station staff.

Perhaps you had a customer ill on a train and needed assistance, needed to detrain during the peak or where given safety critical information by a member of station staff?

You can complete the survey by clicking go to form below.

You can leave your name and email address, which will be kept entirely confidential and will allow us to contact you for more information. You can alternatively leave these blank if you prefer.

If you have any concerns that you want to be directly addressed or need a direct response too then please speak with your union rep.

Questions marked with a * must be filled in.

This will help us identify if male and female train operators have different experiences or views about the importance of assistance from station staff.

We may contact you for further information if you submit your email address.

Please select the line you were working on when station staff assisted you.

For example 'I had an unwell passenger and station staff were ready on the platform to assist' or 'I had to detrain during the peak and station staff dealt with angry customers'

For example this could include the situation taking much longer to deal with, a defect on the train not being identified, or being alone with an aggressive customer or angry customers.

Give some further examples of where station staff assist you in carrying out your job safely or in running your train on time. Also list situations that could have negative outcomes due to a lack of station staff.
