Our branch meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month. They begin at 1700 and generally run until 1900.
The meetings are held at 'The Ex-Servicemen’s Club' in Harvey Road, Leytonstone. This is approximately a two minute walk from Leytonstone underground station.
A rally and lobby of parliament will take place on Wednesday of 27th January 2010 in the fight to stop the axing of nearly 1500 safety-critical maintenance jobs by Network Rail. A timetable for a national ballot for industrial action by rail maintenance staff will be confirmed shortly.
The severe weather conditions this week have underlined the importance of having proper staffing levels on the rail network with reports that some of the transport problems have been worsened by a shortage of crew to de-freeze tracks and points – and that’s before Network Rail push through a further 1500 job cuts.

The meeting starts at 5.30pm. The pub is situated next to Tooting Bec tube station (Northern Line).

Deadline for resolutions and delegates' registration for the union's Health & Safety Conference.
I am pleased to advise you that we will be holding the RMT Young Members’ Conference in Liverpool on Friday 26th February & Saturday 27th February 2010, with a social event being held at 1900 on Thursday 25th February 2010.
Branches are invited and encouraged to submit resolutions to the conference. These must be relevant to Young Members in the union.

Our TfL members are still faced with
- a three year pay deal linked to an unpredictable RPI figure
- unprecedented job cuts
- bullying of reps & activists
- unfair treatment of members in disciplinaries & medical redeployment/termination hearings
RMT members there have had two days of strike action & have been in dispute for some ten months now.

A meeting for all stations and revenue reps and activists to discuss what is going on in your workkplace, to hear reports from and give feedback to level 2 / tier 2 reps, and to plan our campaigning against job cuts and for a better deal for staff.
Meetings will take place on the first Wednesday of every month; same time, same venue.
