DESCRIPTION:<p><img src=\\"http\://www.rmtlondoncalling.org.uk/sites/default/files/stratfordbranch.jpg\\" align=\\"right\\" width=\\"200\\" />Our branch meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month.  They begin at 1700 and generally run until 1900.</p>
 <p>The meetings are held at 'The Ex-Servicemen’s Club' in Harvey Road\, Leytonstone.  This is approximately a two minute walk from Leytonstone underground station.</p>

SUMMARY:Rally and Lobby of Parliament in Fight to Stop Axing of 1500 Safety Critical Rail Maintenance Jobs
DESCRIPTION:<p><img src=\\"http\://www.rmt.org.uk/files/129613/FileName/20091202_a_wiard_0004.jpg\\" align=\\"right\\" />A rally and lobby of parliament will take place on Wednesday of 27th January 2010 in the fight to stop the axing of nearly 1500 safety-critical maintenance jobs by Network Rail. A timetable for a national ballot for industrial action by rail maintenance staff will be confirmed shortly.</p>
 <p>The severe weather conditions this week have underlined the importance of having proper staffing levels on the rail network with reports that some of the transport problems have been worsened by a shortage of crew to de-freeze tracks and points – and that’s before Network Rail push through a further 1500 job cuts.</p>
