As you will probably know, RMT will be holding a Special General Meeting in early November, which will discuss four rule changes submitted by branches. All these rule changes seek to improve our union's democracy, as follows:
- to extend the time available to branches to submit amendments to resolutions to the union's AGM - to ensure that during disputes, the union's Executive considers the views of a strike committee elected by and from the striking members - to create a larger, more diverse and representative Annual General Meeting

A protest against bullying and harassment of RMT bus members at London United will take place on Friday 2nd October at Hounslow Bus Garage, Kingsley Road, Hounslow, TW3 1PA. The nearest tube station is Hounslow East on the Piccadilly line ( 2 minutes walk).
All London Underground RMT reps (indusrial relations, not health and safety) are released from duty to attend our meeting to discuss London Underground's pay offer, as follows:

It is very important that you attend this meeting, to report on your members' views on the pay offer and to take part in the discussion on how the union should respond.

If you are a local rep, find out how to make the most of your regular local ("level one") meetings with management - finding out members' issues, arguing the case with your manager, what to do if you disagree, feeding back to members, using your role to build the union and its strength in the workplace. This training workshop, led by Malcolm Taylor, Staff-Side Secretary of London Underground's Stations & Revenue Council, is a must for all local representatives.
