What is a National Executive Committee decision?

This article is an 'executive decision' which has been written by the RMT National Executive Committee. The National Executive is the union's governing body in between AGMs. Its decisions set out what the union will do on a particular issue.

These decisions can often be brief, and may be one of several passed over a period of time. To get a better understanding or find out more information about what the RMT is doing, speak to your rep or attend your branch or Regional Council meeting.

Station members congratulated over FFtF dispute successes

We congratulate our stations members on mounting a convincing dispute and strike action against the company’s Fit For the Future/Stations re-organisation, and enabling our Reps and Lead Officer to do a great job through negotiations in repairing the damage done to the safety, staffing and general running of tube stations; including putting back 325 jobs.

While we have pushed back a lot of the negative aspects of FFtF/Stations re-org; we currently remain in dispute and must maintain vigilance. We welcome the coming Stations Reps meeting on Wednesday 8th November 2017 to consult on progress made; and instruct the General Secretary to provide a report to the NEC from the Lead Officer following the reps meeting.

Members to be advised by email and text.

All London Transport Region Branches and the London Transport Regional Council to be advised.
