He's my brother - RIP Leon Brumant

Eamonn Lynch - RMT LT Regional Secretary

I always found Leon to be engaging and not afraid to challenge the establishment, he clearly possessed a sharp mind and it really is tragically sad, that we will never see all that Leon could have achieved.

Sean Hoyle RMT National President

I knew Leon for around five years during which time he proved himself  a dedicated intelligent and tireless activist and rep .I was devastated to hear about the untimely demise of Leon who was a young man with a great future ahead of him.Its tragic that we will ever see Leon  who exemplified all that is best in today's youth on our executive or winning an officers position in the union .My thoughts prayers and deepest condolences go out to his family friends work colleagues and union comrades.Leon brother you will be sadly missed Rest in peace and power.

Steve Hedley RMT AGS

Leon was an exceptional trade unionist and socialist who built the membership of our Region. He was a man of action who involved himself in every dispute and as a brilliant speaker added to every debate and discussion. He was a lovely person and will be missed by us all.
My thoughts are with his family.
Rest In Peace Leon

I first met Leon when I was President at the 2013 AGM in Brighton. Leon was with the young members, and due to move a resolution. I had to rule it out, and I remember him jumping up and down, but also that he took it in good humour. We became friends after that, and he was a great asset to the RMT
