Update on Trains Management

Today myself and reps from the other Trade Unions again met with London Underground management to provide initial feedback and questions in response to the proposals made last week. I tabled 35 questions and comments and the other unions fully supported these, as well as making a number of additional points. For the RMT, the biggest issues will be the threat to pensions if the company's proposals over pay capping are allowed to happen and needing the company to guarantee a process of preferencing for locations.

“This Branch notes:

- The hugely detrimental effect of the “Fit for the Future” programme on our members’ working lives, including through a severe impact on work/life balance.

- LU’s plans for similar restructuring projects in other areas and functions, including trains.

Meet outside Clapham Common Station at 0800 on Wednesday December 9

London Underground bosses could face a London-wide Tube strike by RMT union members if they proceed with disciplinary action against union activist Glen Hart.

Piccadilly Reps Report July 2015

Well I am pleased to say that my area is fantastically strong. We REPs have recruited every single new person to the Piccadilly Circus group. Fixed term as well. 12 members in the last month.

Amazing, it's really easy for you to use your iPad to recruit. Giving someone a paper membership application is so last year. I do it on my personal iPad. Takes 5 minutes.
