A resolution was received from our East Ham Branch was as follows: -
We note the resolution from our East Ham branch concerning job cuts, and that similar resolutions have been passed by several other branches.
We share the views of our branches, and affirm that this union opposes all job cuts on London Underground and across TfL. We instruct the General Secretary to ensure that this position is made clear in relevant union publications and public statements and in any meetings and correspondence with the employers.
TUBE UNION RMT confirmed today that following a series of ACAS talks the Piccadilly and sub-surface lines control dispute has been settled and strike action due to start this Sunday evening has been called off.
Following extensive negotiations RMT has been able to secure agreements that protect earnings, employment, grading, career progression, training and the release time for union representatives.
RMT General Secretary Bob Crow said:
Today all RMT Service Control reps from across Service Control in London Underground met to discuss the final offer that LU and RMT had been negotiating all this week at ACAS.
The reps felt that the final offer made after much negotiating and fighting was a solid victory for all members and for everyone that works in service control, they also felt we had all achieved something un-heard of in London Underground... A guaranteed "Lifetime Protection of Earnings" in writing from LU!!

London Underground and RMT met at the conciliation service Acas on 22 and 26 June to discuss the dispute surrounding Service Control staff covering the Piccadilly, Circle, District, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines.
There will be a meeting of Service Control reps on the 27th of June 2012 to discuss the proposals below.
The talks have led to a set of proposals on which RMT will be consulting with their members. At the moment, three days of strike action are due to take place commencing this Sunday.
London Underground has presented RMT with its final offer regarding the Service Control dispute, RMT is now considering this offer and arranging for reps and members to meet tomorrow to discuss this and make a decision if it is good enough..

RMT has put forward our opinion on this document that shows many loopholes for London Underground to not support Service Control staff in the future and allows management to hand pick who goes where.
LU management don't want there to be any transparency in who goes where in Service Control and don't want anything to be done by mutual agreement but for LU to choose and decide everything.
RMT has reconvened at ACAS again today for a second round of talks with London Underground, London Underground has presented a document with their proposals to RMT's demands to settle the dispute.
RMT is now interrogating this document and putting forward our opinion on it.
